10-day children's bible club Archives - Mission Network News https://www.mnnonline.org/tag/10-day-childrens-bible-club/ Mission Network News Mon, 01 Dec 2025 04:50:33 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=6.5.7 This Giving Tuesday, fuel Christian kids ministry in India! https://www.mnnonline.org/news/this-giving-tuesday-fuel-christian-kids-ministry-in-india/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=this-giving-tuesday-fuel-christian-kids-ministry-in-india Tue, 02 Dec 2025 05:00:06 +0000 https://www.mnnonline.org/?post_type=news&p=218473 India (MNN) — Today is Giving Tuesday, following Thanksgiving in the United States. After thanking the Lord for His blessings this year, it’s a day to share those blessings through charitable giving.

If you have a passion for spreading the Gospel, India is one of the most critical mission fields — and now is a key time to support Mission India as they touch kids’ hearts.

Raina Miller with Mission India says, “Giving Tuesday falls during our 10-Day Children’s Bible Club matching challenge, so it’s a great time to take advantage of that…. Every dollar that you give to 10-Day Children’s Bible Clubs is currently being doubled — so $1 is doubled to reach two children with the good news of Jesus!”

India is home to 1.4 billion people, and 96% have never heard the Gospel. Mission India works with local Christian partners for these Children’s Bible Clubs — even as believers face intense persecution.

“India is actually the 11th most dangerous nation in the world for Christians,” Miller explains. “There are people who are ostracized from their communities, they are facing violence, they’re facing intimidation in all different forms for following Christ…. And yet, we’re finding that the more persecution increases, the more the Church grows.”

You can donate to Mission India’s 10-Day Children’s Bible Clubs today at www.missionindia.org/double.

This Giving Tuesday, help make an eternal difference for children in India.

Miller also asks, “Pray that the kids who are reached through the Bible Clubs that are being sponsored during this match would have their hearts changed in a way that pushes them to lead others to Christ as well. [Pray] that it just creates a domino effect where the kids reached through this match then go on to reach entire communities!”

How a 10-Day Bible Club changed Rohitha’s life forever https://www.mnnonline.org/news/how-a-10-day-bible-club-changed-rohithas-life-forever/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=how-a-10-day-bible-club-changed-rohithas-life-forever Fri, 07 Nov 2025 05:00:00 +0000 https://www.mnnonline.org/?post_type=news&p=218017 India (MNN) — When Rohitha walked into a 10-Day Children’s Bible Club for the first time, she didn’t know what to expect.

Like many kids in India, she grew up in a home filled with idols and rituals. Worship was familiar — but Jesus was not. Still, something about the songs, stories, and kindness of her Bible Club leaders drew her in.

Rohitha’s life was changed forever at a 10-Day Children’s Bible Club. (Photo courtesy of Mission India)

“She loved hearing about Jesus healing the sick, and His sacrifice on the cross really resonated with her,” says Mission India’s Raina Miller. “So by day seven out of 10 at the Bible Club, she was reflecting on her life and the concept of forgiveness, and she couldn’t stop thinking about Jesus.

“On day nine out of 10, Rohitha invited Jesus into her heart, and she received Him as Savior — and on day 10, she declared her faith publicly!”

Now, Rohitha is part of a local church and prays daily for her parents to know the same hope she’s found.

Stories like hers are why Mission India continues to host 10-Day Children’s Bible Clubs across the country — and why their matching challenge that launched today matters so much!

From now through December 31, a generous partner will match every gift toward Mission India’s 10-Day Children’s Bible Clubs up to $1.1 million.

“Normally, one dollar lets one child attend a Bible Club,” Miller explains. “But through this match, one dollar reaches two children. So this is giving them the chance to attend a Bible Club where they can hear about Jesus — many of them, for the first time.”

Miller adds, “It’s just incredible to see what can happen in the span of only 10 days. You would think that’s such a short time, but kids’ lives turn around in that short amount of time, and they’re introduced to Jesus. It changes their lives forever, and it gives their parents the chance to have their lives changed as well.”

You can double your impact and help reach twice as many children with the Gospel at www.missionindia.org/double!

Boy escaping home chaos finds peace at Mission India Bible Club https://www.mnnonline.org/news/boy-escaping-home-chaos-finds-peace-at-mission-india-bible-club/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=boy-escaping-home-chaos-finds-peace-at-mission-india-bible-club Fri, 11 Apr 2025 04:00:34 +0000 https://www.mnnonline.org/?post_type=news&p=214025 India (MNN) — When young boy Akil began attending a 10-Day Children’s Bible Club in India, he struggled with anxiety and loneliness. His home life was filled with conflict, and Akil had nowhere else to turn.

Raina Miller with Mission India says, “His parents were fighting at home all the time. His dad was really busy with work, and his mom was busy performing rituals to their gods because she was very superstitious. His parents had differing belief systems and it caused a lot of arguments between them.”

A friend had invited Akil to the 10-Day Bible Club run by Mission India. What started as a simple invitation turned into something life-changing.

“He was just surrounded by love and joy like he hadn’t experienced before — and stability that he definitely didn’t have at home,” says Miller. “As he was at the Bible Club each day, he felt relaxed in a way that he didn’t feel at home.”

Akil played games with other kids, sang songs, and most importantly, heard about Jesus for the first time.

Miller says, “He noticed that the Bible stories he was hearing contradicted what his parents believed, but he believed in them, and he believed in Jesus. He was moved and received Jesus as his Savior!”

Akil returned home transformed and he began sharing the Bible stories he learned with his family. His mother, moved by the change in her son, left behind her superstitious practices. By God’s grace, there is more peace now in Akil’s home.

While Akil’s parents haven’t yet made decisions to follow Jesus, they are open and curious — and continuing to explore the Gospel because of their son’s testimony.

Miller says stories like Akil’s aren’t uncommon. “We see kids all the time leading others to Christ…. Kids come to a Bible Club for the first day and love it so much that they want to bring their brothers and sisters and friends the next day. So the impact just grows from there.”

With 356 million children under the age of 15, India holds one of the greatest opportunities to reach the next generation for Jesus.

This Easter, Mission India is inviting believers to get involved in a simple but powerful way.

Through April 21, donations to the 10-Day Children’s Bible Clubs are being matched dollar for dollar, up to $350,000. That means every $1 sends two children like Akil to a Bible Club where they’ll hear about Jesus — and potentially change their families from the inside out.

“I don’t know what better Easter gift you could give than introducing a child to Jesus,” says Miller.

Young Indian girl found purpose, healing at 10-Day Bible Club https://www.mnnonline.org/news/young-indian-girl-found-purpose-healing-at-10-day-bible-club/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=young-indian-girl-found-purpose-healing-at-10-day-bible-club Fri, 21 Mar 2025 04:00:13 +0000 https://www.mnnonline.org/?post_type=news&p=213692 India (MNN) — For six long years, Samrina’s life was overshadowed by pain. A persistent stomach ulcer plagued her childhood, leaving her parents desperate for answers. Doctors searched for solutions, but none could bring relief.

Then Samrina’s parents heard about a 10-Day Children’s Bible Club from a Christian relative. Although they themselves were not believers, her parents figured it would be an enjoyable distraction for their young daughter.

From Samrina’s first day, Raina Miller with Mission India says, “She loved it! There were tons of fun activities. There were songs that she got to sing about Jesus that had fun dances and motions to them, and then she memorized Scripture verses too. All this is just kind of new to her.”

Samrina (Photo courtesy of Mission India)

But most of all, “The message of Jesus really spoke to her,” Miller says. “She was just amazed that God loved her. After her life had been pretty much dominated by pain and desire for healing [from] medical issues, she was amazed to discover that her life really had purpose — no matter what she might be going through.”

With childlike faith, Samrina decided to bring her greatest need before Jesus. She prayed for healing.

“One of the incredible things about our 10-Day Bible Clubs is that the children learn how to pray to Jesus,” said Raina Miller with Mission India. “They understand that Jesus can answer their prayers and that he can do miracles.”

By the end of the 10 days, Samrina experienced what no doctor had been able to provide — complete healing. The pain that had tormented her for years was gone, and her family could not deny the miracle they witnessed.

Overcome with gratitude, her parents began attending church, eager to learn more about the God who had healed their daughter. “Now we’re just praying that her parents come to salvation,” says Miller.

“We’re so excited about what’s to come this summer as more children like Samrina find hope and even healing and eternal life in Christ through this 10-Day Children’s Bible Club!”

Across India, thousands of children will step into these clubs — some battling struggles of their own, and all seeking joy, love, and hope. You can help introduce them to the love of Christ!

Just $1 typically allows one child to attend a 10-Day Children’s Bible Club. But right now, Mission India is running an Easter matching challenge that doubles every dollar given until April 21.

See your gift expanded to reach more kids in India with the Gospel! Give to Mission India’s matching challenge here.

Then, pray for these kids attending 10-Day Children’s Bible Clubs to become lights for Jesus in their generation.

Mission India’s biggest-ever matched giving challenge will reach kids with the Gospel https://www.mnnonline.org/news/mission-indias-biggest-ever-matched-giving-challenge-will-reach-kids-with-the-gospel/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=mission-indias-biggest-ever-matched-giving-challenge-will-reach-kids-with-the-gospel Tue, 12 Nov 2024 05:00:18 +0000 https://www.mnnonline.org/?post_type=news&p=211336 India (MNN) — Today, Mission India is launching its biggest-ever matching challenge. Every dollar donated to Mission India’s 10-Day Children’s Bible Clubs between now and December 31 will be doubled, up to $1 million.

So, what exactly is a 10-Day Children’s Bible Club? Regan Miller with Mission India explains, “It’s like Vacation Bible School on steroids, we like to say. They sing songs, they play together, they do Bible-based skits, they hear Bible stories, and they learn how to pray, and they all have so much fun while they’re doing it.”

Through these Bible Clubs, Mission India partners with local Christian leaders to share the Gospel with children across India.

“Even after the 10 days are up, the locals that led the Bible Clubs are still around,” says Miller. “[They] can continue to build relationships with the families and pour into their lives.”

Miller shares the story of a Bible Club leader, Manpriya, whose ministry impacted an entire family for Christ.

Sachtek (Photo courtesy of Mission India)

A 13-year-old boy named Sachtek was deeply worried after his father, Shibu, suffered a heart attack and was told he wouldn’t fully recover.

“After Shibu came back from the hospital, their neighbor, who was a Christian, came to visit. Her name was Manpriya and she shared the Gospel and offered to pray for Shibu’s healing. As she was praying, Shibu felt the Holy Spirit just overcome him and from that day on, his health started to improve,” says Miller.

“Sachtek was amazed. So when Manpriya invited Sachtek to the 10-Day Bible Club she was going to lead, of course he said yes!

“During the 10 days, Sachtek learned more about the God who healed his dad. He asked Manpriya tons of questions about Jesus and about God’s saving grace, and he ultimately received salvation.”

Today, Sachtec is attending a local church – and you can reach other kids like him.

The majority of believers come to faith in childhood between the ages of 4 and 14. Now is a key time to grow the Gospel’s reach by connecting with Indian kids!

Giving Tuesday: Donate to share Jesus with unreached kids in India! https://www.mnnonline.org/news/giving-tuesday-donate-to-share-jesus-with-unreached-kids-in-india/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=giving-tuesday-donate-to-share-jesus-with-unreached-kids-in-india Tue, 28 Nov 2023 05:00:42 +0000 https://www.mnnonline.org/?post_type=news&p=205734 India (MNN) — Do you have a plan for Giving Tuesday today? It’s a nice bookend to Thanksgiving weekend in the United States. After thanking the Lord for His provisions this year, you can express gratitude by showing generosity and donating to other ministries or organizations.

This Giving Tuesday, what better mission to support than one sharing the Gospel with unreached kids?

Mission India is raising support for their 10-Day Children’s Bible Clubs in India, and there’s a unique opportunity to stretch your dollar even farther for the Great Commission in this key country.

Regan Miller with Mission India says, “We actually have friends of Mission India that have offered to match gifts toward 10-Day Bible Clubs, up to $550,000.

“One dollar normally reaches one child with the Gospel through this program, which is already incredible. But with the match, $1 is doubled to reach two children!”

India has the most unreached people groups in the world. So it’s no surprise “many of these kids that we’re reaching through this program have never heard of [Jesus] before,” says Miller. “So they’re hearing about Jesus for the first time and it is so cool to see how that changes their lives and changes their families.”

Where else can you do that much with just $1?

Miller says, “If you want to impact 200 kids, you give $100! If you do the math, it’s just crazy to see how far your gifts can go.”

Give to Mission India’s matching challenge here!

Your gift means Indian children like Afreen get to hear about Jesus Christ’s love in a 10-Day Bible Club — maybe for the first time in their lives.

Miller says, “She got to go through a gift of $1 from somebody, just like the dollar that you can give now during our matching challenge. She loved it…and at the end of the 10-Day Bible Club, she responded to the Gospel and received salvation!

“She still lives in this community where it’s not accepted to be a Christian in many homes, so she actually has not yet told her parents that she believes in Jesus. Even though her parents don’t know, and even though she thinks they might not agree with her decision to follow Him, she is choosing Jesus and that’s really exciting.

“We are just praying with Afreen that she can witness to her parents and that she can boldly proclaim her faith and that her parents will come to know Him too.”

Please pray also for Mission India’s leaders to have wisdom and guidance as they launch Bible Clubs across India.

How a summer Bible Club in India helped Syana escape abuse https://www.mnnonline.org/news/how-a-summer-bible-club-in-india-helped-syana-escape-abuse/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=how-a-summer-bible-club-in-india-helped-syana-escape-abuse Thu, 10 Aug 2023 04:00:39 +0000 https://www.mnnonline.org/?post_type=news&p=204037 India (MNN) — Mission India is winding down on their 10-Day Children’s Bible Clubs through India’s summertime. As they celebrate how God moved in the hearts of Indian children this summer, Mission India’s Regan Miller has a powerful story to share.

Syana is a young girl in India whose parents noticed she was withdrawing, but they didn’t know why. They had no idea she was being sexually abused by her cousin.

Miller says, “When she joined a 10-Day Bible Club this summer, she learned about Jesus and how much He cared for people who were hurting.

“She ended up talking to her Bible Club leader about it, and her Bible Club leader taught her how to say no to her cousin who was abusing her. As that just developed, she found confidence in Christ and confidence in the discipleship that her leader offered.”

Syana stood up for herself the next time her cousin made unwanted advances and he ran away. She finally told her parents everything, and her cousin is no longer able to abuse her.

The 10-Day Children’s Bible Club might be over, but today, Syana is going to church with her parents.

“Syana received Jesus as her Savior!” says Miller. “The coolest part is that when she grows up, now her hope is that her job will be focused on helping kids like her who are stuck in abusive situations.”

Mission India has launched their Year-Long Children’s Bible Clubs for the school year in India, and can use your support.

Just $24 allows one child to participate in the Year-Long Children’s Bible Club! Click here to give.

Also, Miller says, “We would invite people to pray for the kids who attended a 10-Day Bible Club this summer, that they would continue to grow in their faith. A lot of them learned about Jesus and now they get to put it into action just like Syana did.”

Mission India celebrates 45 years of Gospel ministry! https://www.mnnonline.org/news/mission-india-celebrates-45-years-gospel-ministry/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=mission-india-celebrates-45-years-gospel-ministry Wed, 01 Mar 2023 05:00:04 +0000 https://www.mnnonline.org/?post_type=news&p=201478 India (MNN) — Although many Christian ministries in India have been forced to leave or limit their work in recent years, Mission India is still there sharing the love of Christ.

This year, Mission India celebrates an exciting milestone — the ministry’s 45th anniversary!

It’s a milestone not all Christian organizations reach in India. But one thing that makes Mission India different is their emphasis on supporting indigenous Christians.

Bartholomew* with Mission India explains, “Our model is one where it’s indigenous. Everything is lived out and done by Christians in India. We don’t send missionaries to do the work. We empower and enable those that God has called to do the work within their communities. That has been true since the start 45 years ago, and it’s still true today.”

Mission India’s model where local Christians conduct the ministry has also sustained the work through social challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic and natural disasters.

Indigenous believers partnered with Mission India share Christ’s love through Children’s Bible Clubs, Adult Literacy Classes, and Church Planter Training.

“God has continued to work through our partners in India, and so we’re excited for the next 45 years of what that looks like,” Bartholomew says.

As Mission India celebrates 45 years in ministry, they are kicking off a 10-Day Children’s Bible Club matching challenge from March 1 through April 30.

Every dollar donated to 10-Day Children’s Bible Clubs at Mission India will be doubled — up to $400,000. It just costs $1 to send one child in India to a 10-Day Children’s Bible Club.

“So if you give $1, two kids get to go to a 10-Day Children’s Bible Club,” Bartholomew says. “I’ve been here for seven years and I’m still blown away that $1 investment can change the lives of two kids in India forever.

“If we do meet the $400,000 matching goal, 800,000 children will be enabled to go to a 10-Day Children’s Bible Club this summer in India so it’s quite exciting!”

Click here to give to Mission India’s matching challenge!

Praise God for Mission India and 45 years of faithful ministry in partnership with Indian believers. Pray for many more people in India to embrace relationships with Jesus Christ over the next 45 years of Gospel outreach.

Matching grant could send 800,000 Indian kids to Bible Club https://www.mnnonline.org/news/matching-grant-would-send-800000-indian-kids-to-bible-club/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=matching-grant-would-send-800000-indian-kids-to-bible-club Tue, 15 Mar 2022 04:00:59 +0000 https://www.mnnonline.org/?post_type=news&p=196031 India (MNN) — Do you want to be a part of turning the spiritual tide in India for Christ? India is the most unreached nation in the world, but Mission India sees Gospel doors opening — with the younger generation and their families!

From March 1st through April 30th, every dollar donated to Mission India’s 10-Day Children’s Bible Clubs will be doubled by their Proclaim Matching Challenge, up to $400,000.

Normally, it costs $1 to send one child in India to a 10-Day Children’s Bible Club. But with the Proclaim Matching Challenge at Mission India, $1 will now sponsor two kids!

If Mission India reaches their challenge goal, that means 800,000 kids will get a spot in a 10-Day Children’s Bible Club this year.

Bartholomew* with Mission India explains, “The 10-Day Bible Club is very much like a vacation Bible school here in the US that parents send their kids to in the summer for a week or so…. It’s a 10-Day vacation Bible school, essentially. These are run all throughout India and we invite kids from all the communities that these Bible Clubs are being run.”

At the 10-Day Children’s Bible Club, kids get to make new friends, play games, have some structure to their day, and learn about God’s love for them.

“The impact that these clubs can have, they don’t just impact kids. What we’re seeing there is kids are changed. Then they’re bringing the life-changing message of Jesus to their families and then kids are leading their parents to Jesus…. It has the opportunity then to have ripple effects generationally from that one child.”

Bartholomew says, “I really don’t know many other places on earth where $1 gets to send a kid to a 10-day experience. When you think about a summer youth camp here in the US, I don’t think they’re going for $1. So being able to provide that to families is just incredible.”

Click here to donate to Mission India’s Proclaim Matching Challenge!

In addition, Bartholomew asks for prayer. “Pray that we match our matching challenge amount so that 800,000 children have the opportunity to go. Also, be praying for these children as they attend a 10-Day Bible Club. May their hearts and their minds be open to the love of Jesus.

“Then finally…pray for these families as these kids leave the Bible Clubs this summer and go back to their families each evening. May they be open to what their children share about what they’ve learned.”

This Giving Tuesday, give to share Jesus with kids in India! https://www.mnnonline.org/news/this-giving-tuesday-give-to-share-jesus-with-kids-in-india/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=this-giving-tuesday-give-to-share-jesus-with-kids-in-india Wed, 24 Nov 2021 05:00:51 +0000 https://www.mnnonline.org/?post_type=news&p=194256 India (MNN) — There’s a lot coming up this next week in the United States – Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and then… Giving Tuesday. Coming on the heels of a shopping weekend, Giving Tuesday is a day where people are encouraged to give in support of nonprofits and ministries they are passionate about.

Have you thought about what nonprofits you want to support this Giving Tuesday?

If you want your funds to have an incredible impact for the Gospel, what better place to reach than India! One-third of the world’s unreached people groups live in India. And according to the Joshua Project, only two percent of India’s population are Christians.

Mission India has a unique opportunity starting Giving Tuesday, November 30th through December 31st. Every dollar donated to their 10-Day Children’s Bible Clubs in India will be matched up to $364,000.

What is the 10-Day Children’s Bible Club? Bartholomew* with Mission India explains, “For those in US culture and Western culture, that is basically a Vacation Bible Club. So it runs for 10 days. Kids come and join, they sing songs, they’re encouraged, they’re supported by the leaders, and they get to hear the Gospel. They get to hear about how much Jesus loves them.”

Mission India has two different programs for their Children’s Bible Club — a 10-Day version and a Year-Long version.

Many kids who attend the 10-Day Children’s Bible Club go on to become involved in the Year-Long Children’s Bible Club.

“It’s a good feeder and it’s a way to continually support and grow those children educationally, spiritually, and emotionally beyond just the 10 days,” Bartholomew says. “We already have that built in.”

It also allows local Indian churches to really invest in these kids and their families!

“A lot of these 10-Day Children’s Bible Clubs actually are supported by the local church partners that we have. So these churches are going in the community and providing 10-Day Bible Club experiences for children, but also, it’s served as an outreach to the local community to the families.”

Normally, it costs just $1 to send one kid to a 10-Day Children’s Bible Club. However, Bartholomew says, “With this match, that’s actually $2. So two kids get to go for every dollar. It’s a really powerful program that we have been seeing so much life change come through.”
