After thanking the Lord for His blessings this year, it’s a day to share those blessings through charitable giving.

If you have a passion for spreading the Gospel, India is one of the most critical mission fields — and now is a key time to support Mission India as they touch kids’ hearts.

Raina Miller with Mission India says, “Giving Tuesday falls during our 10-Day Children’s Bible Club matching challenge, so it’s a great time to take advantage of that…. Every dollar that you give to 10-Day Children’s Bible Clubs is currently being doubled — so $1 is doubled to reach two children with the good news of Jesus!”

India is home to 1.4 billion people, and 96% have never heard the Gospel. Mission India works with local Christian partners for these Children’s Bible Clubs — even as believers face intense persecution.

“India is actually the 11th most dangerous nation in the world for Christians,” Miller explains. “There are people who are ostracized from their communities, they are facing violence, they’re facing intimidation in all different forms for following Christ…. And yet, we’re finding that the more persecution increases, the more the Church grows.”

You can donate to Mission India’s 10-Day Children’s Bible Clubs today at www.missionindia.org/double.

This Giving Tuesday, help make an eternal difference for children in India.

Miller also asks, “Pray that the kids who are reached through the Bible Clubs that are being sponsored during this match would have their hearts changed in a way that pushes them to lead others to Christ as well. [Pray] that it just creates a domino effect where the kids reached through this match then go on to reach entire communities!”

How a 10-Day Bible Club changed Rohitha’s life forever https://www.mnnonline.org/news/how-a-10-day-bible-club-changed-rohithas-life-forever/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=how-a-10-day-bible-club-changed-rohithas-life-forever Fri, 07 Nov 2025 05:00:00 +0000 https://www.mnnonline.org/?post_type=news&p=218017 India (MNN) — When Rohitha walked into a 10-Day Children’s Bible Club for the first time, she didn’t know what to expect.

Like many kids in India, she grew up in a home filled with idols and rituals. Worship was familiar — but Jesus was not. Still, something about the songs, stories, and kindness of her Bible Club leaders drew her in.

Rohitha’s life was changed forever at a 10-Day Children’s Bible Club. (Photo courtesy of Mission India)

“She loved hearing about Jesus healing the sick, and His sacrifice on the cross really resonated with her,” says Mission India’s Raina Miller. “So by day seven out of 10 at the Bible Club, she was reflecting on her life and the concept of forgiveness, and she couldn’t stop thinking about Jesus.

“On day nine out of 10, Rohitha invited Jesus into her heart, and she received Him as Savior — and on day 10, she declared her faith publicly!”

Now, Rohitha is part of a local church and prays daily for her parents to know the same hope she’s found.

Stories like hers are why Mission India continues to host 10-Day Children’s Bible Clubs across the country — and why their matching challenge that launched today matters so much!

From now through December 31, a generous partner will match every gift toward Mission India’s 10-Day Children’s Bible Clubs up to $1.1 million.

“Normally, one dollar lets one child attend a Bible Club,” Miller explains. “But through this match, one dollar reaches two children. So this is giving them the chance to attend a Bible Club where they can hear about Jesus — many of them, for the first time.”

Miller adds, “It’s just incredible to see what can happen in the span of only 10 days. You would think that’s such a short time, but kids’ lives turn around in that short amount of time, and they’re introduced to Jesus. It changes their lives forever, and it gives their parents the chance to have their lives changed as well.”

You can double your impact and help reach twice as many children with the Gospel at www.missionindia.org/double!

Bible Clubs in India reach families https://www.mnnonline.org/news/bible-clubs-in-india-reach-families/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=bible-clubs-in-india-reach-families Fri, 13 Jun 2025 04:00:17 +0000 https://www.mnnonline.org/?post_type=news&p=215226 India (MNN) — Mission India is passionate about reaching children with the gospel – a mission that changes the lives of families.

Raina Miller with Mission India says, “When parents have significant struggles with things like if they’re abusive, they’re alcoholics, or even if they’re just really struggling through poverty, that affects everything, and it really affects the kids. And the opposite is true too. So when these parents get to know Jesus, it completely changes the whole household.”

One of Mission India’s main ministries is its children’s Bible clubs. Jada, daughter of a daily wage laborer, began attending one of these clubs seeking support with her education. Jada struggled not just because of her socioeconomic status but faces discrimination because of her family’s ethnic group.

“She joined a Children’s Bible club, and she was just curious about it at first, and just wondered what it was all about. And she really enjoyed the Bible based skits, Christ-centered songs with fun motions and dance moves, and things like that. And she was really drawn in by the Bible verses that were shared and the stories she heard about Jesus. So the Bible club leader was really encouraging, taught her about loving God and God’s purpose for her life, and that she mattered, and she ended up receiving Jesus as her Savior. And all of that led to more confidence that translated at home.”

Jada’s dad, however, became sick. Miller says, “Jada had just learned about Jesus and that he could heal, so she actually prayed in Jesus’ name for her father’s healing, and he was healed.”

This miraculous healing not only opened Jada’s eyes even more to Jesus but led her entire family to Christ.

Jada and her family find God. (Photo courtesy of Mission India)

“Although life might still be difficult in some ways, they have hope that they didn’t have before this, because a little girl trusted Jesus to heal her dad, and now she’s got parents who are able to lead the family in a Christ-centered way,” says Miller.

Miller said that God revealed himself to Jada through the Bible Club, and this story can be a reminder to believers.

“What do you do with a miraculous story like this in your own faith?” asks Miller. “What are you not trusting God for that you could? What could he be doing in a miraculous way that this feels far-fetched? This is a young girl, probably 9 or 10 years old, and she trusted God to heal her dad, and her whole household is changed because of it, so there’s a great personal takeaway for each of us to remember: God still does miracles today, and that they’re worth asking for.

Mission India invites people to come alongside their ministry with their new monthly giving program, Pathfinders. The monthly contribution of $36 will provide 18 kids with Bible Club for a year. Learn more about how you can be involved by visiting their website.

Please pray for Jada, her family, and others with stories like hers. Pray that God would move in the hearts of children attending Bible Clubs and that His name would be magnified in families touched by Mission India.

Mission India’s biggest-ever matched giving challenge will reach kids with the Gospel https://www.mnnonline.org/news/mission-indias-biggest-ever-matched-giving-challenge-will-reach-kids-with-the-gospel/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=mission-indias-biggest-ever-matched-giving-challenge-will-reach-kids-with-the-gospel Tue, 12 Nov 2024 05:00:18 +0000 https://www.mnnonline.org/?post_type=news&p=211336 India (MNN) — Today, Mission India is launching its biggest-ever matching challenge. Every dollar donated to Mission India’s 10-Day Children’s Bible Clubs between now and December 31 will be doubled, up to $1 million.

So, what exactly is a 10-Day Children’s Bible Club? Regan Miller with Mission India explains, “It’s like Vacation Bible School on steroids, we like to say. They sing songs, they play together, they do Bible-based skits, they hear Bible stories, and they learn how to pray, and they all have so much fun while they’re doing it.”

Through these Bible Clubs, Mission India partners with local Christian leaders to share the Gospel with children across India.

“Even after the 10 days are up, the locals that led the Bible Clubs are still around,” says Miller. “[They] can continue to build relationships with the families and pour into their lives.”

Miller shares the story of a Bible Club leader, Manpriya, whose ministry impacted an entire family for Christ.

Sachtek (Photo courtesy of Mission India)

A 13-year-old boy named Sachtek was deeply worried after his father, Shibu, suffered a heart attack and was told he wouldn’t fully recover.

“After Shibu came back from the hospital, their neighbor, who was a Christian, came to visit. Her name was Manpriya and she shared the Gospel and offered to pray for Shibu’s healing. As she was praying, Shibu felt the Holy Spirit just overcome him and from that day on, his health started to improve,” says Miller.

“Sachtek was amazed. So when Manpriya invited Sachtek to the 10-Day Bible Club she was going to lead, of course he said yes!

“During the 10 days, Sachtek learned more about the God who healed his dad. He asked Manpriya tons of questions about Jesus and about God’s saving grace, and he ultimately received salvation.”

Today, Sachtec is attending a local church – and you can reach other kids like him.

The majority of believers come to faith in childhood between the ages of 4 and 14. Now is a key time to grow the Gospel’s reach by connecting with Indian kids!

Give today at Mission India’s website here, and see your gift doubled for the Great Commission in India.

Worst flooding in Kerala state in 6 years; 158 people killed https://www.mnnonline.org/news/worst-flooding-in-kerala-state-in-6-years-158-people-killed/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=worst-flooding-in-kerala-state-in-6-years-158-people-killed Thu, 01 Aug 2024 04:00:07 +0000 https://www.mnnonline.org/?post_type=news&p=209619 India (MNN) — Among the tea and cardamom estates of southern India, heavy rains caused sudden floods and landslides early Tuesday morning, sweeping away whole families.

At least 158 people died, and many are still missing. It’s the worst flooding Kerala state has seen in six years.

India is in the thick of monsoon season, and other parts of the country are feeling the impact of surging rains. The capital New Delhi also saw massive flooding last month.

Regan Miller with Mission India explains, “In India, everybody lives in such tight quarters. People live in homes that are on top of each other and attached to each other and side-by-side and the neighborhoods are so crowded that when something like this happens, it affects hundreds of thousands of people.

“There’s really a great need for prayer right now, and there’s also great opportunity to share the hope of Christ when people are struggling.”

Mission India works with local believers across India to run Children’s Bible Clubs and share that eternal hope with kids and their parents.

Families at one Bible Club in a flood-affected area have been impacted. “All of these parents of the kids have not been able to go to work, and they’re already in a really poor area. So that’s been difficult to hear about as well,” says Miller.

Please pray for Indian families out of work due to the flooding that they will find support through the local Church.

Miller says, “We are asking for prayers that our church planters will be able to get back to the field [and] that communities would find hope in the Good News as they rebuild homes, rebuild roads and all the things that have been damaged in the flooding.”

Also, ask God to comfort the grieving communities in Kerala state.

Change a life like Jamia’s through summer Bible Club https://www.mnnonline.org/news/change-a-life-like-jamias-through-summer-bible-club/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=change-a-life-like-jamias-through-summer-bible-club Thu, 21 Mar 2024 04:00:55 +0000 https://www.mnnonline.org/?post_type=news&p=207493 India (MNN) — When school finishes for the summer, many children in India don’t have another place to go while their parents work. During this time when so many things can go wrong, Mission India’s 10-Day Children’s Bible Club steps in to give kids a safe, exciting environment where they can learn about Jesus.

Regan Miller with Mission India tells us, “The kids are drawn to the Bible club because it’s fun, it’s engaging. It’s not like sitting down in a class.”

Miller says Bible club is like Vacation Bible School to the extreme, since it goes for 10 full days over the course of two weeks, morning to evening. Children learn fun Bible-based skits, Bible stories, and songs with motions and dance moves to it, and more.

“We partner with local Christians who are in India and from the area to run these 10-Day Bible clubs. That’s especially exciting because that means after the 10-Day Bible club ends, that leader is still a part of the community and able to pour into those kids lives for the long term,” Miller says.

While persecution is a serious issue in India, Bible clubs are often an exception. A community may not welcome a church, but they see the good that a Bible club does in keeping kids out of trouble in the summer.

“Even if they’re against Christianity, a lot of times they’ll allow the Bible club to run and not oppose it, because they see the good that it’s doing,” Miller says.

Mission India, Jamia

Jamia is one girl whose life was turned around through Bible club. She was largely shunned by her community because of an eye condition she has. When she learned about Jesus for the first time in her life, she blossomed into a bright, confident girl with a heart for serving others.

“When Jesus came into her [Jamia’s] life, it changed her confidence. It changed the way she viewed herself. It changed what potential she saw in her own life. It changed her family life, changed everything,” Miller says.

“We’re so excited about how much something can change a child when they hear about Jesus over the course of 10 days.”

(Read more of Jamia’s story here.)

You can join Mission India in reaching more children like Jamia this summer through their special matching challenge. From now until April 30, gifts will be doubled up to $250,000.

The incredible thing is that it costs only $1 for a child to be part of a 10-Day Bible Club.

“We’re excited to open up the invitation for people to reach out to more kids like Jamia so that they can have this awesome summer experience with Jesus,” Miller says.

God’s Word, fellowship helps believers through hard times https://www.mnnonline.org/news/gods-word-fellowship-helps-believers-through-hard-times/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=gods-word-fellowship-helps-believers-through-hard-times Fri, 09 Feb 2024 05:00:51 +0000 https://www.mnnonline.org/?post_type=news&p=206868 India (MNN) — For many of India’s 1.4 billion people, the idea of following just one God, Jesus, is a whole new concept — and one that their communities react strongly against.

Mission India believes that God’s Word and Christian fellowship are what God gives to strengthen His people in hard times.

“That’s exactly what our programs all provide,” says Regan Miller with Mission India. “Whether it’s church planter training, children’s Bible clubs or adult literacy classes, there is community in each one. We are able to encourage people with the Word of God and let them know that God is there for them and has promises found in Scripture for them.”

Ragheed. Photo courtesy of Mission India.

Mission India was founded as Bibles for India nearly 45 years ago. Today, the groundwork for each of its three ministry focuses is still the Bible.

“In children’s Bible clubs, kids are memorizing Scripture passages and learning songs that are based on the Bible. In adult literacy classes, students are learning how to read using Scripture. Then in church planter training, our church planters are giving Bibles to new believers and using Scripture-based materials to help lead people to Christ,” Miller says.

It was through one of these missionaries that God’s Word came to a young man named Ragheed, leading him to faith in Christ.

“[Ragheed] grew up reading his own religion’s texts — his parents were adamant that he learned that. But the more he dug into it over the years, he just wasn’t convinced,” Miller says.

As an adult, Ragheed investigated his doubts even further and in the process became interested in Jesus.

“He rediscovered a Scripture-based book that one of our church planters left with his family a long time ago. He ended up following up with [another] church planter and asking if they could chat more. She gave him a copy of the New Testament. When he read the book of Matthew, he was just captivated,” Miller says.

“It even came to the point where his family was persecuted because of his faith, even though he had received Christ and they had not. He was so confident in his faith in Christ that he moved out of the house. He did whatever it took to keep following Jesus.”

Please be praying for people like Ragheed.

“Our partners are not trying to run away from persecution,” says Miller. “They are asking that they would have courage and boldness to continue sharing the gospel. So we pray for their protection.”

Romans 15:4 says “For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.”

If you have known the comfort and encouragement of God’s Word, would you prayerfully consider partnering with Mission India?

“We invite people to give a gift to our programs,” says Miller. “Through each of them (our programs) we will be able to share the Word of God and surround people with Christian community.”

How a summer Bible Club in India helped Syana escape abuse https://www.mnnonline.org/news/how-a-summer-bible-club-in-india-helped-syana-escape-abuse/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=how-a-summer-bible-club-in-india-helped-syana-escape-abuse Thu, 10 Aug 2023 04:00:39 +0000 https://www.mnnonline.org/?post_type=news&p=204037 India (MNN) — Mission India is winding down on their 10-Day Children’s Bible Clubs through India’s summertime. As they celebrate how God moved in the hearts of Indian children this summer, Mission India’s Regan Miller has a powerful story to share.

Syana is a young girl in India whose parents noticed she was withdrawing, but they didn’t know why. They had no idea she was being sexually abused by her cousin.

Miller says, “When she joined a 10-Day Bible Club this summer, she learned about Jesus and how much He cared for people who were hurting.

“She ended up talking to her Bible Club leader about it, and her Bible Club leader taught her how to say no to her cousin who was abusing her. As that just developed, she found confidence in Christ and confidence in the discipleship that her leader offered.”

Syana stood up for herself the next time her cousin made unwanted advances and he ran away. She finally told her parents everything, and her cousin is no longer able to abuse her.

The 10-Day Children’s Bible Club might be over, but today, Syana is going to church with her parents.

“Syana received Jesus as her Savior!” says Miller. “The coolest part is that when she grows up, now her hope is that her job will be focused on helping kids like her who are stuck in abusive situations.”

Mission India has launched their Year-Long Children’s Bible Clubs for the school year in India, and can use your support.

Just $24 allows one child to participate in the Year-Long Children’s Bible Club! Click here to give.

Also, Miller says, “We would invite people to pray for the kids who attended a 10-Day Bible Club this summer, that they would continue to grow in their faith. A lot of them learned about Jesus and now they get to put it into action just like Syana did.”

Young Indian girl punished for following Jesus https://www.mnnonline.org/news/young-indian-girl-punished-for-following-jesus/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=young-indian-girl-punished-for-following-jesus Fri, 23 Sep 2022 04:00:23 +0000 https://www.mnnonline.org/?post_type=news&p=199091 India (MNN) — It’s hard to follow the Lord when family or friends may ridicule your faith. But the stakes are even higher for Christians in India. Taniska is a young girl in India who was attending Mission India’s Year-Long Children’s Bible Club. However, her parents have now banned her from Bible Club.

Taniska was enjoying the Year-Long Children’s Bible Club, making new friends, and learning about Jesus. She was even given a picture book of Bible stories.

Bartholomew* with Mission India says, “It’s a place and a program for kids to go to after school and during the day. It’s a place where they can improve their education and get some tutoring, play with other kids, and have that sense of community maybe as their parents work. These Bible Clubs also tell them about the love of Jesus through the different leaders.”

But everything changed when Taniska’s parents found out she had accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior.

Bartholomew says, “They were furious. They actually saw the book that she was reading and they, at the time, thought it was just like some comic book. But when they found out ultimately what that book was about and the different things she was engaging with, they took it away along with her Bible. They said, ‘We don’t want you to be anywhere near this Bible Club and this God that you’ve now professed faith in.’

“But Taniska was not going to be stopped. She already had God’s Word hidden in her heart from the different times she’s heard the Scriptures…. To this day, her parents still forbid her from going to the Bible Club. But this young girl is taking what she has learned written on her heart [and] reflecting on those verses of love and grace and peace.”

Pray for Taniska and other kids in Mission India’s Year-Long Children’s Bible Club to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ! Ask the Holy Spirit to sustain them with biblical truth and Christian community.

Also, Bartholomew says, “We pray for Taniska’s parents, that they would have a change of heart, and ultimately that they would commit to follow Him as well.

You can support a child attending a Year-Long Children’s Bible Club with Mission India for just $24. Click here to donate!

When you create more community,…there are more Taniskas that can come forward and come to know Jesus, but also then have that community they can be tied back into when they face opposition from their friends and their family. So $24 can go support that child to have that community, to come to know Jesus, and to fall back on that community when those around them may disagree with them wholeheartedly.”

Matching grant could send 800,000 Indian kids to Bible Club https://www.mnnonline.org/news/matching-grant-would-send-800000-indian-kids-to-bible-club/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=matching-grant-would-send-800000-indian-kids-to-bible-club Tue, 15 Mar 2022 04:00:59 +0000 https://www.mnnonline.org/?post_type=news&p=196031 India (MNN) — Do you want to be a part of turning the spiritual tide in India for Christ? India is the most unreached nation in the world, but Mission India sees Gospel doors opening — with the younger generation and their families!

From March 1st through April 30th, every dollar donated to Mission India’s 10-Day Children’s Bible Clubs will be doubled by their Proclaim Matching Challenge, up to $400,000.

Normally, it costs $1 to send one child in India to a 10-Day Children’s Bible Club. But with the Proclaim Matching Challenge at Mission India, $1 will now sponsor two kids!

If Mission India reaches their challenge goal, that means 800,000 kids will get a spot in a 10-Day Children’s Bible Club this year.

Bartholomew* with Mission India explains, “The 10-Day Bible Club is very much like a vacation Bible school here in the US that parents send their kids to in the summer for a week or so…. It’s a 10-Day vacation Bible school, essentially. These are run all throughout India and we invite kids from all the communities that these Bible Clubs are being run.”

At the 10-Day Children’s Bible Club, kids get to make new friends, play games, have some structure to their day, and learn about God’s love for them.

“The impact that these clubs can have, they don’t just impact kids. What we’re seeing there is kids are changed. Then they’re bringing the life-changing message of Jesus to their families and then kids are leading their parents to Jesus…. It has the opportunity then to have ripple effects generationally from that one child.”

Bartholomew says, “I really don’t know many other places on earth where $1 gets to send a kid to a 10-day experience. When you think about a summer youth camp here in the US, I don’t think they’re going for $1. So being able to provide that to families is just incredible.”

Click here to donate to Mission India’s Proclaim Matching Challenge!

In addition, Bartholomew asks for prayer. “Pray that we match our matching challenge amount so that 800,000 children have the opportunity to go. Also, be praying for these children as they attend a 10-Day Bible Club. May their hearts and their minds be open to the love of Jesus.

“Then finally…pray for these families as these kids leave the Bible Clubs this summer and go back to their families each evening. May they be open to what their children share about what they’ve learned.”
